How Access 2010 Converter Works:

Access 2010 Web Database Conversion:

Converting an Access database to an Access Web Database which can then be published to SharePoint consists of three activities.

Firstly the database must be checked to see that it conforms to meet SharePoint product requirements. Then the data needs to be analyzed and corrected for any problems such as unqualified url’s in hyperlinks and illegal dates in date fields. The third activity is to alter the database structures to enable the database to be meet the Compatibility and publishing rules.

Access 2010 provides a built in Compatibility checking feature which assists in identifying conversion issues although some issues only become apparent during the publishing phase. The Compatibility checker will notify you of potential issues, but will not make the required corrections.

The service we offer involves provide a pre-checking activity to identify any key structural issues which would prevent automated conversion, and then following this an automated conversion to meet the checks that are required both for the successful conversion to a web database format and to meet the requirements for successful publication to SharePoint.
